Treating depression

In part, treatment will consist of putting words to your thoughts and feelings. This is done in order to enhance the experience that they do not cover the whole picture - even though it might feel this way most of the time and often for good reason.

Putting your thoughts and feelings into words can sometimes be difficult or painful, and of course the process will be carried out at a pace that suits you. Often treatment also consists of a variety of homework assignments which can include f.i. physical exercise, pleasurable activities or experimenting with alternative interpretations of occurrences in daily life.
